I have a broad range of skills and experience that people and organisations like this so often need and I am delighted to be able to pass on that knowledge.
Below are some examples of organisations that I work with:
Appledore Book Festival

I am a Trustee of Appledore Book Festival, a registered charity that organises an annual literary festival to raise funds to provide books and visiting children’s authors to local schools.
My involvement with the festival includes:
- maintaining the festival’s website
- managing the organisation’s admin functions in Google Workspace
- overseeing and configuring a large and complex ticketing system.
With almost 100 events every year and thousands of tickets sold, the effective use of technology is key to the success of the festival and I am proud to play my part. During the Festival itself, I can often be found driving authors to Tiverton Parkway or Bristol Airport!
The Appledore Bakery

I am delighted to have helped owners Joe and Kat out with the website creation and ongoing support and maintenance for The Appledore Bakery, a growing local business specialising in hand-baked sourdough bread and cakes.
Number Twenty, Appledore

Number Twenty is a quirky gift shop in Market Street, Appledore.
I helped its proprietor Claire to set up its e-commerce website, linked to its Point of Sale system, and provided help and advice on configuring the site to suit the particular requirements.
The result was a successful launch of Number Twenty’s online presence which has continued to build.
Torridge Pilot Gig Club

I undertook the complete overhaul and rewrite of the website for Torridge Pilot Gig Club in Appledore using WordPress and continue to maintain it.
I also implemented an all-new online membership system powered by Member Mojo.
I continue to manage the admin functions of the organisation using Google Workspace, when I’m not actually out rowing myself, that is!
