Community I.T. Appledore is a voluntary organisation set up by me, David Stevenson, in 2025 to run weekly drop-in sessions with the main aim of helping people and charities in and around Appledore, North Devon with their technology-related queries and problems.
I primarily do this through drop-in sessions every Friday in St. Mary’s Hall, Appledore. There we discuss a variety of subjects from using a smartphone to problems with email accounts – I never know what I’m going to be asked. You can see some examples of how I’ve been able to help people on the Latest Posts page.
I also provide IT expertise to local organisations and businesses – you can find out more on the Small Businesses and Charities page.
When is the next session?
I try to run the sessions every Friday from 10.30am to 11.30am, but sometimes life gets in the way. If you are planning to come along, please check on the Community IT Appledore Facebook page for any updates.
Do I need to book in advance?
No, just turn up and bring your phone/laptop/tablet with you. If I’m with someone else, please take a seat and I’ll see you as soon as I can.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge for the drop-in sessions. The room is provided by St. Mary’s Church Hall free of charge as a service to the community so if you would like to give a donation to the church hall renovation project, that would be greatly appreciated.
